Amy
Here’s where the “City Girl” gets introduced. My name is Amy, and I am the middle Womack daughter and really proud of my family and their commitment to Lindon Farm. Some of my best memories growing up were out in the fields. I remember picking cucumbers, shucking peas, “hilling potatoes” (which is definitely the WORST job to be asked, I would only say Yes on Fathers Day as a “gift” to my Dad). My parents would have the best tomatoes ever, the kind you’d pick…dust off a bit…and eat like an apple. Any tomato that wasn’t picked in time would become part of “Tomato Races”. We would stand at the top of our hilled driveway, line them up and let them roll to the bottom in laughter. All the neighbors would agree our garden was the best, especially Grandpa Phil who would say “You got some damn good soil!” You can’t argue we had some pretty good soil…but more than that was the love my parents had for us and everyone around, which made our garden grow in more ways than just vegetables.
I now live in Boston and don’t have a role in their day to day operations, but I love to visit and hear stories and stay updated on TheGarlicGuy.com! This City Girl may become a Country Girl again one day…until then I will always “hill potatoes” on Fathers Day and continue to spread the word about the “best damn garlic powder you ever had”!
From our family to yours,
Amy
